Cookies do not identify you by name nor does it permit us to read unrelated data on your hard drive. They can be used to track what pages you look at on our web site. This enables us to develop a more responsive web site to your needs by analyzing usage data. At your option, you can adjust your browser options to not accept cookies.
Server access logs
Each web page access is recorded in a log file. The contents of the log file are analyzed periodically to determine how many visitors we serve, what pages they look at most, and how they were referred to our site. An individual's session data is not kept or examined.
The MSF Forum requires users to register before they are allowed to post a message. Registration requires users to enter a first name, last name, and e-mail address. The names need not be your real names, but will be used to identify the source of each message posted. Your e-mail address is required because the Forum sends a password to you via e-mail.
The MSF reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of its forums and Human chat access in order to determine compliance with the terms and conditions and use associated with the MSF web site and to satisfy any law, regulation or authorized government request. The MSF shall have the right at its sole discretion to edit, refuse to post or remove any material submitted to or posted on its web site that the MSF, in its sole discretion, finds to be in violation of its policies or otherwise objectionable. Furthermore, the MSF reserves the right to determine qualifications to serve as an information provider on the forums.
The MSF maintains databases of persons affected by multiple sclerosis as well as those having an interest in providing various types of support to the MSF. These databases are not available for sale, loan, or exchange for commercial purposes.
Any message posted or e-mailed to the MSF web site is public, unless confidentiality has been both specifically requested in writing by the author and granted in writing by the MSF. The MSF may use messages it deems public in furtherance of its purposes including, but not limited to, compiling databases and developing promotional materials, testimonial materials and responses to inquiries.
We do not obtain personal information about you during your use of the web site, unless you choose to furnish it, such as signing up for complimentary MSFocus magazine subscriptions. We provide opt-out options for our newsletter mailing lists.
