First Oral Treatment for MS Approved by FDA

The first oral treatment indicated for relapsing forms of MS, Gilenya™ (fingolimod), has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Gilenya, previously referred to as compound "FTY720", will be available in US pharmacies in the coming weeks, according to the announcement made by Novartis.
